AutoCut
A first cut, built from your soundtrack.
AutoCut is ScenePilot's dedicated auto-editor for videos and music videos: beat- and energy-driven cuts, presets, and multi-take lip-sync alignment, exported for 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 and opened straight into the main ScenePilot editor.

WHAT IT DOES
Turn footage and a soundtrack into a first cut.
Drop in your clips and a track. AutoCut reads the soundtrack's beat and energy, then builds a sequence of cuts timed to it, using a preset you choose. If you shot multiple takes of the same line, AutoCut can align them so the cuts land on matching audio. The result opens directly in the full ScenePilot editor, where every cut, transition and title stays editable.
HOW IT WORKS
Three steps to a first cut.
- 01
Bring in your clips and a track.
Import your footage and the soundtrack you want the cut timed to.
- 02
Pick a cut preset.
Choose how aggressively AutoCut should cut to the beat and energy of the track.
- 03
Open the cut in ScenePilot.
Export for 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9, or keep refining the timeline, transitions and titles in the full editor.
HONEST LIMITS
What AutoCut doesn't do.
Current limitations
AutoCut produces a first cut, not a finished film — it's a starting point for the editor, not a replacement for it. Multi-take alignment depends on clean audio and may not line up perfectly on every take. This is a public web alpha; features and output quality are still changing.
One good first test
- 01Import a short clip and a track with a clear beat.
- 02Try a couple of cut presets to compare results.
- 03Open the result in ScenePilot and adjust a transition.
