How to use NOW Messenger.
Web app · Public alpha
Open live rooms, group cameras, random meetups and private chats. Bring your Community profile into NOW without signing in again. Earlier chat histories remain in their original inboxes.

No public desktop or mobile installer is available for NOW Messenger.

Connect your Community profile or enter as a browser guest. In New conversation, find another NOW user by username or share your contact code. NOW manages its own blocking controls and room membership.
Invite-only chatrooms
Make a room for your friends or a small group. Send an invitation link, rotate it when needed, and choose a message timer. Up to 50 guests can join a room; only its members can read the conversation.
Messages with an expiry time
Set messages to disappear after 1 minute, 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. A timer change applies to messages sent afterward. Expired messages become unavailable immediately; stored rows are cleaned up on requests and an hourly task.
Guest accounts without email
Enter as a browser guest without email or a password. Sign in to save a lasting profile and return across devices. Clearing browser data can lose an unsaved guest session; Connect your Community profile to use the same identity in both apps.
How private messaging works in NOW
Membership controls who can access a conversation. Username search is available inside the app and excludes expired accounts and blocked contacts. Guest profiles and message history are not public pages for search engines.
NOW does not provide end-to-end encryption. The service operator can access unexpired message content, and recipients can save a copy before it expires. Clearing browser data loses your guest session; there is no email recovery.
Live rooms, alongside The Circle
NOW opens its own app with live channels, group cameras, random meetups and PictoChat. The Circle keeps community posts, music and earlier messages. Open Older conversations in Circle Messages to return to previous chats.

How to check guest chat identity and disappearing messages
A guest chat needs a clear distinction between identity, access and message expiry. Test the current behaviour with harmless text before relying on a room for meaningful conversation.
