Split
One song. Four stems.
Split separates one song into vocals, drums, bass and instruments on your own device, using HTDemucs (Meta, MIT license) running on-device via ONNX. Mute or solo each stem, download the WAVs, or send them straight into StemDeck.

WHAT IT DOES
Pull a song apart, right in your browser.
Drop in one song (WAV/MP3/FLAC/M4A/OGG, up to 10 minutes or 100 MB) and Split separates it into four stems using HTDemucs, fetched from Hugging Face at a pinned, SHA-256-checked revision and run entirely on your device. Mute or solo each stem to preview the separation, download the WAVs, or send them straight into StemDeck to start a mix.
HOW IT WORKS
Three steps to get there.
- 01
Drop in a song.
Split downloads its separation model once (172 MB) and caches it for next time.
- 02
Mute or solo a stem to preview it.
Check vocals, drums, bass and instruments individually.
- 03
Download the WAVs or send to StemDeck.
Nothing is saved automatically — export before you leave the page.
HONEST LIMITS
What Split doesn't do.
Current limitations
Quality is HTDemucs-class, not studio grade: expect some bleed between stems and artifacts on dense mixes. "Instruments" lumps together everything that isn’t vocals, drums or bass. The first run downloads a 172 MB model, CPU mode can take several minutes per song, and phones and tablets are untested. Nothing is saved — download the WAVs or send to StemDeck before leaving the page, and only separate audio you have the rights to.
One good first test
- 01Drop in a song you have rights to.
- 02Mute vocals and solo the bass.
- 03Send the stems straight to StemDeck.
