Grade
One still. A whole new look.
Grade pulls a CIELAB color transfer from a reference still onto your clip or image, with a live WebGL2 before/after split, intensity and palette controls, and export to a .cube LUT or a graded still.

WHAT IT DOES
Pull a look from a still onto your footage.
Pick a reference still with the color you want, and Grade measures it with Balanced, Reinhard or Histogram transfer methods — video is measured across 8 sampled frames. A WebGL2 3D-LUT preview shows a live before/after split while you adjust intensity and palette. Export a .cube LUT (17, 33 or 65 size) and a graded PNG still. As of the latest update, ScenePilot Browser Lite can import a .cube LUT for session-only preview.
HOW IT WORKS
Three steps to get there.
- 01
Pick a reference still with the look you want.
Grade measures its color statistics with your chosen transfer method.
- 02
Compare before/after and adjust intensity.
Use the live split preview and palette controls to dial it in.
- 03
Export a .cube LUT or a graded still.
Take the LUT into ScenePilot Browser Lite or another tool.
HONEST LIMITS
What Grade doesn't do.
Current limitations
Grade is a statistical transfer, not relighting or skin-aware grading. The LUT is tuned to the specific clip you measured, not general-purpose. It assumes Rec.709/sRGB with no log or HDR support, and can posterize in Histogram mode on flat reference images. This is a public web alpha; features are still changing.
One good first test
- 01Pick a reference still with strong color.
- 02Compare Balanced vs. Histogram transfer.
- 03Export a .cube LUT and preview it in ScenePilot.
