How to check a browser voice memo before sharing it
A brief test recording reveals microphone and room problems before you record a long idea. Listen to the saved recording rather than relying on an animated input indicator.

A small example to work through
Our original 20-second test script has room tone, a spoken sentence and a held note. It is text to perform yourself, not a generated voice or an uploaded recording.
| Item | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 0–5 s | Remain quiet | Listen for room noise |
| 5–12 s | Say: This is my recording test | Check intelligibility and clipping |
| 12–17 s | Hum one comfortable note | Listen for dropouts |
| 17–20 s | Remain quiet again | Check ending and handling noise |

Use the blank observation and decision fields to record your own result. These downloads are planning worksheets; they do not load an app project or demonstrate a completed export.
Try it and inspect the result
- Open Pocket Studio in The Circle, allow microphone access when you intend to record and choose a quiet space.
- Record the short script, stop and listen back. Repeat after changing microphone position if words clip or the background overwhelms the voice.
- Keep a local copy through available controls before a long take. Review recording visibility before uploading; recording uploads require sign-in.
When the result differs
- No input
- Check selected microphone and browser permission.
- Crackling or distorted words
- Move away from the microphone or lower input gain where your setup permits.
- Upload unavailable as guest
- Sign-in is required for recording uploads; local recording and server sharing are different steps.
What this example establishes
Pocket Studio records voice memos; Sattari Pocket is a separate beat sketchpad. This script is a manual check, not a verified browser recording result. Include other people only with their consent.
